At the Kaldas Center, Dr. Menya is a board certified gynecologic surgeon and obstetrician and is certified in robotics surgery. He is dedicated in creating an environment of comfort and communication for his patients.
National Recognition for Research
Dr. Menya was a part of important research during both medical school and during his residency.
It is this pursuit under the tutelage and guidance of Dr. Bonnie Buxton that earned him first place poster presentation in medical school when he presented his findings after researching on “Pharmaceutical Inhibitors of Inflammatory Mediators in Matrix Metalloproteinases”.
During his residency at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, his research for diabetes and pregnancy “Diabetic Foot Gangrene in Pregnancy with Pregestational Diabetes” received first place honors in NYSOMS (New York State Osteopathic Medical Society) poster presentation and national recognition.
Dr. Menya began his education at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities completing a bachelor of science in biology. From there he went on attend medical at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri.
He completed his medical training at Pikeville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pikeville, Kentucky and then went on to become senior resident at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway, New York.
His time spent in Rural, MN as attending physician help fine-tune his medical skills as a caring and compassionate doctor in women’s care.

When Dr. Menya is Not at the Kaldas Center He Loves to Spend Time with His Family
They love spending time outdoors (when it’s not too cold)! His family enjoys spending time together watching movies, going to museums, and attending community functions.
