Why We Love Green Bay
Green Bay is the third largest city in Wisconsin behind Madison and Milwaukee. It is the doorway to Door County and home to the Packers. Year round, people come from all over to enjoy everything the city has to offer. Here are some of the reasons we love the green and gold star of the North:
- Brown County Farmer’s Market
- Bay Beach Park
- Cellcom Marathon
- March of Dimes – March for Babies
- Aurora Baycare Triathlon
At just over thirty minutes north of us, it’s pretty great being so close to a city with this much to offer.
Green Bay’s population and geography makes it a fantastic place to dig in and get involved with the community. Some of the organizations with whom we have partnered in Green Bay include:
- March of Dimes
- CASA of Brown County
- The Avenue
Pregnancy and Baby Resources in Green Bay
Green Bay has plenty of resources available to new and expectant mothers. As the third largest city in Wisconsin, you will find no shortage of classes, events and shopping destinations for your new addition.
If you are pregnant or planning on becoming pregnant, here are some of our favorite resources that you can’t miss:
Green Bay YMCA – The Green Bay YMCA has four locations on Broadview Drive, Jefferson Street, Huron Road, and Cardinal Lane. Between those four locations, they offer both child care and plenty of opportunities for your child to experience socializing and motor skill development. Long hours and a discounted family rate make Green Bay’s YMCA a top destination for any new parent.
Polka-Dots Children Store – Polka-Dots is one of those hidden treasures that has a pretty great reputation on the baby wire. While primarily a consignment shoppe, Polka Dots has recently started carrying maternity clothing as well. Meaning that, from day one through birth, you and your baby can find stylish clothing under one roof.
